Across the Water

When the Larsen family move from London to an old house in the countryside, the two young daughters, Emily and Pippa, expect the worst. But they are soon enchanted by their new home, which opens onto ancient woodland on one side and a lake on the other. And then, one hot summer's day, Emily catches sight of a figure watching her from the other side of the lake. But who? And why? The answer appears to lie in the fate of two girls who lived in the same house many years before.
